Two notes before jumping in:
- Proof of Military Service. First, most companies require some form of military ID – including a U.S. Uniform Services ID Card (active/reserve/retired), Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), Photograph in uniform, be wearing uniform (if your service permits), Veterans Organization Card (e.g., American Legion and VFW), DD214, discharge paperwork, or other form of identification. Other restaurants and companies may only require a photo of you in uniform, or go by the honor system to receive Veteran’s Day Free Meals and Discounts
- Participation. Second, always call ahead to verify locations, times, and participation.
Applebee’s – free signature entree, Nov. 11. Last year, Applebee’s served over one million free meals to military veterans and active service members. Applebee’s is again offering a free, dine-in meal to military veterans and active-duty service members on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11. 7 entrees to choose from, beverage and gratuity not included, please see menu at . Bar Louie - free meal, Nov. 10 through Nov. 11. From open to close Sunday, November 10th and Monday, November 11th every Bar Louie location across the country will offer veterans and military personnel a free meal up to a $12 value when they show valid military I.D. or other proof of service. This is the 6th year that Bar Louie locations have hosted an offer for Veterans Day. Many locations have also partnered at the local level with various military groups, and philanthropic organizations to raise money for veterans and their families. BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse - Complimentary lunch entree or a one topping mini pizza for dinner, Nov. 11. Offer valid to all active duty military and veterans with proof of service. More info. Red Robin – free burger and fries, Nov 11. Veterans and active duty military get a free Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries on Monday, Nov. 11.
California Pizza Kitchen – free pizza, Nov. 11. Veterans and active military receive a free pizza on Monday, Nov. 11.
Champps Americana – free handcrafted burger and fries, Nov. 11. We’re celebrating our Veterans with an All American Meal! All Veterans and Active Military will receive a free handcrafted burger and fries on November 11th! Proof of service required. Offer excludes Stuffed Burger and American Kobe Beef Burger. Chili’s – free meal, Nov. 11. Chili’s is offering all military veterans past and present their choice of one meals on a limited menu. This offer is available on November 11, at participating Chili’s in the U.S. only. Dine-in from limited menu only; beverages and gratuity not included. Einstein Bros. Bagels – free bagel and topping of choice, Nov. 11. Active, inactive and retired military personnel receive a free Signature or Classic Bagel and Shmear (or any other topping) on Monday, Nov. 11.
Denny’s Veterans Day Appreciation Event, Nov. 11. To thank America’s heroes for their endless dedication and service, Denny’s is giving away never-ending stacks of its famous buttermilk pancakes to active, inactive and retired military personnel on Monday, Nov. 11. From 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at all participating Denny’s restaurants nationwide, diners with a valid military ID will receive free all-you-can-eat pancakes, complete with warm maple syrup and whipped butter. Select Denny’s nationwide offer a 10 percent military discount year-round for diners with proof of service. Shoney’s - free burger, Nov. 11. Shoney’s will be offering a free All-American Burger to veterans and active duty service members on Monday, Nov. 11.
Starbucks – free tall coffee, Nov. 11. Former and active duty service members and their spouses get a free tall brewed coffee on Monday, Nov. 11.
Fox & Hound and Bailey’s Sports Bar, free burger, Nov. 11. Veterans and Active Duty Military, you all rock. Show proof of service on Monday, November 11th to get any of our Burgers for FREE. Limit one Burger per person. Golden Corral – thank you dinner, Nov. 11. The 13th annual Golden Corral Military Appreciation Monday dinner will be held on Monday, November 11, from 4 pm to 9 pm in all Golden Corral Restaurants nationwide. The free “thank you” dinner is available to any person who has ever served in the United States Military. If you are a veteran, retired, currently serving, in the National Guard or Reserves, you are invited to participate in Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Monday dinner. Hooters – free meal, Nov. 11. Hooter’s is serving up a free meal to military veterans all day on Veterans Day. Offer good for all veterans and active duty military personnel. IHOP - 20% discount on meal, Nov. 11. IHOP is offering all military veterans past and present, a 20% discount on their entire bill. This offer is available on November 11, at participating IHOP locations in the U.S. only. Dine-in from limited menu only. Veterans and active duty military simply show proof of military service.
The Greene Turtle – free lunch, Nov. 11. Veterans and active duty military receive a free lunch from a limited menu on Monday, Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Krispy Kreme – free doughnut and small coffee, Nov. 11. Available only at participating Krispy Kreme stores. Offer available to all active-duty, retirees & veterans on November 11th. Be sure to call ahead to verify your local Krispy Kreme is participating.
Little Caesars® Pizza – free Crazy Bread, Nov. 11, Little Caesar’s pizza is offering a FREE order of Crazy Bread to veterans and active military personnel on Monday, November 11. No purchase required. Just show proof of military service such as your U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), Veterans Organization Card (i.e., American Legion and VFW), DD214, Citation or Commendation, photograph of yourself in uniform, or simply wear your uniform. McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants – complimentary meal, Nov 10. McCormick & Schmick’s is celebrating their 13th annual Veteran’s Appreciation Event on Sunday, November 10th. Veterans will be able to choose a complimentary lunch or dinner entrée from a limited menu. Also enjoy 50% off on select bottles of Stag’s Leap wine. No to-go orders permitted. Veterans must provide proof of military service. Be sure to contact your local McCormick & Schmick’s as this is valid at participating restaurants only. Outback Steakhouse – free Bloomin’ Onion and a beverage to military personnel in uniform or with military ID. We will also extend a 10% discount to military personnel Nov. 12 - Dec. 31.
Sizzler Restaurants – buy one, get one free, Nov. 11, . Sizzler is offering active duty and retired members of the military a free lunch on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11. Until 4 p.m., guests with proof of military service will select a six-ounce six-ounce Tri Tip Steak, single Malibu Chicken or a half dozen Fried Shrimp entrée with a choice of side dish. Proof of service includes a U.S. military-issue or veterans group identification card, appearance in uniform or a photo of the person in uniform.
Subway – free Six Inch Sub, November 11. Select SUBWAY® Restaurants will offer a FREE six inch sub or flatbread to military veterans on Veteran’s Day. This offer is valid only on November 11, at participating local SUBWAY® restaurants, Military ID or proof of service required. Note: SUBWAY® Restaurants are franchises, so this offer may not be available everywhere. Please call ahead for participation and times.
Texas Roadhouse – free lunch, Nov. 11. All Texas Roadhouse locations across the country will participate in the free lunch event to honor the men and women of our armed forces. Choose a free lunch meal from the special Veterans Day menu. Offer good for All veterans – including all active, retired or former U.S. military. ID Required. T.G.I. Friday’s – free lunch, Nov. 11. T.G.I. Friday’s will be offering a free lunch on Monday, November 11 to all veterans and active U.S. Military personnel. You must wear your uniform or present other proof of military service. Not all locations are participating, so be sure to call ahead and confirm before heading out.
The Olive Garden - free entrée, Nov. 11, 2013. Offer good for veterans and active duty military, November 11th during regular business hours. Chose from a special menu; all entrées include freshly baked garlic sticks and choice of soup or salad. Family dining with the service member will receive a 10% discount on their meals as well. Twin Peaks – free entrée, Nov. 11. Free entrée for service men and women. Good for veterans and active service personnel with valid ID or proof of service. Dine in only; gratuity not included. Find a location near you.
Uno Chicago Grill – free entrée or individual pizza with purchase, Nov. 11, UNO Chicago Grill is offering a free entree or individual pizza with an entrée or individual pizza purchase of equal or greater value on Veterans Day. This deal is available on Monday, November 11. Offer good for all veterans and active duty service members with valid military ID at participating restaurants.
Home Depot and Lowe’s Military Coupon Updates:
Update: Home Depot and Lowes 10% Military Discount Available Everyday. Home Depot Military Discount: The Home Depot(R) is offering all active duty personnel, reservists, retired military, veterans and their families a 10 percent discount off their purchases in honor of Veteran’s Day. The offer is valid on purchases of up to $2,000 for a maximum of $200 and is available at The Home Depot stores, The Home Depot Design Center locations, Yardbirds and EXPO Design Center(R) locations. The 10% military discount is available everyday for active duty and retirees, but not all veterans. Home Depot makes this offer available to all veterans on most military holidays. You can also find Home Depot discounts online.
Lowe’s Military Discount, Nov. 11: Lowe’s Companies, Inc. will offer all active, reserve, honorably discharged, retired military personnel and their immediate family members a 10 percent discount on in-store U.S. purchases made during the Veterans Day holiday. The discount is available Nov. 11. The discount is available on in- stock and special order purchases up to $5,000. To qualify, individuals must present a valid military ID or other proof of service. Excluded from the discount are sales via Lowes.com, previous sales, and purchases of services or gift cards. Like Home Depot, Lowes offers this discount daily to active duty military members, but not to veterans. However, they extend the offer to military veterans on military holidays. You can also find exclusive discounts at Lowe’s.com.
Free Park Admissions and Recreation for Veterans Day:
Anheuser-Busch Parks – free admission, available throughout. Anheuser-Busch Parks offers Active Duty Service Members free admission for them and up to 3 dependents to any of their parks once a year. Throughout members of the military and as many as three direct dependents may enter SeaWorld, Busch Gardens or Sesame Place parks with a single-day complimentary admission. The Here’s to the Heroes program is only available to Any active duty, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman. Eligible parks include: Adventure Island, Busch Gardens (Tampa Bay or Williamsburg), SeaWorld (Orlando, San Diego, or San Antonio), Sesame Place, and Water Country USA. Not valid at Discovery Cove and Aquatica. Christmas Town at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Va. is not included as part of this program.
Red Roof Inn - discount of 15% during November. Red Roof Inn is offering 15% off at more than 350 properties nationwide in the month of November to veterans, active duty military and their families.
Sea World Parks and Entertainment – half off admission, now through Nov. 11. Veterans and active duty military can get 50% off single-day admission tickets through Nov.11.
World of Coca-Cola - complimentary admission, Nov. 9, through Nov. 17. Military members receive complimentary admission year-round, but in honor of Veterans Day they also may purchase up to four half-price tickets for their friends and family Nov. 9-17.
Colonial Williamsburg - free admission, Nov. 8, through Nov. 11. Colonial Williamsburg offers free weekend-long admission tickets to active-duty military, reservists, retirees, veterans, and their immediate dependents from Nov. 8 through Nov. 11. The complimentary ticket includes admission to Colonial Williamsburg exhibition sites, art museums, and most daytime programs, as well as free parking and use of the shuttle bus system. Tickets are only available at on-site ticket sales locations. Tickets are also available to families of deployed service members.
Fee Free Day at National Parks, Nov. 9, through Nov. 11. To honor America’s service men and women, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced that areas managed by the National Park Service would not charge entrance fees for Veteran’s Day weekend – November 11. Over 100 national Parks will be participating in this event.
Historic Jamestowne – free admission, Nov. 9 through Nov 11. The National Park Service commemorates Veterans Day with Fee Free days at Historic Jamestowne November 9-11. Free admission for everyone. See events calendar.
Knotts Berry Farm Military Tribute Days – free admission, Nov. 4, through January 5. All Veterans and Active Duty Military + 1 guest get FREE Knotts Berry Farm Admission from 11/4 – 1/5! Knott’s Berry Farm pays tribute to U.S. veterans, retired and current military personnel with free park admission during its Veteran’s celebration November 4, through January 5. This offer is valid to all past and present armed forces personnel and one guest. Pro Football Hall of Fame – free admission, Nov. 9. The Pro Football Hall of Fame, in observance of Veterans Day, will host the annual Salute to Veterans, Celebrating Our Nation’s Heroes: A Tribute to Veterans and Active Duty Military on Saturday, Nov. 9. The ceremony will open at 10:00 a.m. with the singing of the National Anthem and the presentation of the colors by a special color guard representing each of the different branches of military. The program will also feature a special speaker who has affiliations with both pro football and the military.
As a part of the day-long recognition, veterans, active duty, and reserve members of the U.S. armed forces and one guest, will be admitted free of charge to the Hall of Fame and receive a 10% discount in the Hall of Fame Store. Additionally, members of Gold Star Families and Blue Star Mothers will be admitted at no charge. All Hall of Fame visitors will receive a Pro Football Hall of Fame/American flag commemorative pin created in honor of our nation’s heroes.
San Jacinto Monument and Museum (La Porte, TX) - free admission, Nov. 9, through Nov. 17. In honor of veterans and Veterans Day, admission to all venues of the museum - the theatre for Texas Forever!! The Battle of San Jacinto; the Observation Floor, and the special exhibit Making a Mark, Leaving a Legacy - will be free for veterans and their accompanying family members for the week of Veterans Day, from Saturday, November 9 through Sunday, November 17.
