Veterans Hiring Event April 5th 2018 at Fort Belvoir Community Center
The Office of Cybersecurity & Communications (CS&C) for the Department of Homeland Security is participating in a Veterans Hiring event at the Fort Belvoir Community Center, April 5th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Fort Belvoir Community Center Address: 10300 Taylor Rd, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060
CS&C has numerous positions to fill, and veterans may be eligible for an “on-the-spot” job offer at the event. There are also special hiring authorities for military spouses and other members of a veteran’s family.
More than a third of CS&C employees have served in our military; and, many of them continue your service as active Reservists and National Guard members. Veterans understand the need to thwart cyber adversaries, make quick decisions in dynamic situations, and help defend our country.
The Department of Homeland Security is committed to hiring smart, dedicated, and adaptable military veterans to help fill some critical cyber-security job openings at CS&C.
There are many types of positions available, from technical positions to business support, across multiple series and job grades.
Interested applicants must bring a few copies of their resume and their Veterans DD214, Active Duty Statement of Service letter, VA compensation or Schedule A letter and college transcript, if applicable.
Veterans can review the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework to learn more about the tasks and needed knowledge and skills (KSAs) to perform the work.
